Loch Earn from Ben Vorlich by Keith Fergus is one of twelve photos by members of the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild we chose to decorate the ViewRanger offices, representing the best of UK outdoor photography.
About the photo:
Ben Vorlich, which rises above Loch Earn in Perthshire, is one of my favourite Munro's. The climb to its summit formed a walk for a guidebook I was working on, and I wanted to get some striking, early morning autumnal images to accompany the text. Myself and my friend were walking from 6.45am with Ben Vorlich to ourselves, and as we climbed the sun began to cast its gorgeous, warm glow onto the slopes of Ben Vorlich and the Ben Lawers massif beyond Loch Earn.
