What happens when I change phone handset?
Email support the IMEI number of the new phone (dial *#06# to obtain this). If possible include the serial number(s) of your map(s). We'll email you the new license key. There is no charge for this.
Maps of France, Switzerland, Belgium and Netherlands cannot be transferred to a new handset, maps of other countries can be transferred.
Can I use the maps on more than one handset?
If you wish to view the map on more than one handset at once then you need to purchase an additional license. However, if you are only going to view the maps on one phone at once, perhaps keeping one as a backup or for wet / rough days, then it is fine to leave the maps and software installed on both.
Can I exchange route, tracks and points of interest with other applications or web sites
ViewRanger can share routes, tracks and points of interest with other applications and web sites, importing and exporting them using GPX format files.
Can I use maps from other applications, or scanned / bitmap maps?
ViewRanger can't read maps from other applications. This is true of most other mapping applications, because most suppliers such as OS do not permit sharing. Scanned maps such as JPG or TIF can't be used either.
