We are now beta testing version 2.9.2 of ViewRanger for Symbian phones. The release notes contain details of the changes.

The easiest way to install is to use a mobile phone web browser to visit www.viewranger.com/vrbeta - this shows the correct version for you to install without using a computer.

If using a computer then download the appropriate version for your phone from the list below, then use Nokia PC Suite or similar to install:

ViewRanger for Symbian phones with a touch screen - S60 5th edition and Symbian ^3 phones, such as the N8, C7, E7, C6, 5800 XpressMusic, i8910 HD, N97, Satio and Vivaz.

ViewRanger for S60 3rd edition - for all recent keypad phones with no touch screen such as the N95, N96, 6110 and 6210.

ViewRanger for S60 2nd edition - for older phones such as the N70, 6680 and 6630. (Email support for this version.)

This is a beta release, which is being tested. It may not be as reliable as the released version of ViewRanger. We welcome all feedback and suggestions.

Prior to using this software we recommend you backup the ViewRanger tracks and overlay on your memory card. To do this go to the viewRanger folder on your memory card and copy the Objects, Routes and Tracks folders to your computer.

Install the appropriate SIS file using PC Suite, or by copying the file to the phone then starting the install using the phone's File manager. Do not uninstall the previous version of ViewRanger because this update can be installed over the top of the old version - if you do uninstall you will lose your license keys and settings. There are more detailed instructions in the wiki. Do not worry if you choose the wrong file or make a mistake, you cannot damage your phone.

• Give as precise a description of the problem as possible
• Tell us which version of ViewRanger you are using and which maps are installed
• If you have seen a warning or error message, give the exact text of the message
• If you need a new license key include the phone id / IMEI as reported on Options > New license key and and your serial number(s). If you do not have your serial number please tell us the names of the map product(s) you bought.
