Project Manager
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the creation of specific new consumer services within the ViewRanger product portfolio. This role will be responsible for defining, implementing and launching key new services within our growing, early-stage business.
Responsibilities
- Define and specify service requirements, in close consultation with other parts of the company.
- Obtain customer input and feedback throughout the lifetime of the project.
- Select and manage the resources to implement the project, including outsourced development partners.
- Define and implement a launch plan.
- Manage the project through to launch and beyond.
- Report regularly to the management team.
Required Skills/Experience
- Experience of project management of consumer-facing web or software products, from requirements capture through to market introduction. Web and/or mobile projects preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written skills. Proven ability to deliver specification documents and project related documentation/reports.
- Knowledge and experience of web and mobile software technologies.
- Familiarity with a range of social media.
- Expertise in delivering software projects of a high quality.
- Experience in outsourced software development.
- Outstanding organizational and planning skills.
Desirable Experience
- Previous Software Engineering experience.
- User interface design experience.
- Experience building a web based community of users.
- Knowledge of the mobile handset, app or outdoor recreation markets

These positions would ideally suit bright graduate students who are excellent communicators and have a passion for the outdoors.
The role: Marketing Interns
To build the profile of ViewRanger, within defined markets, through online and social media PR and marketing.
Full time, for three months.
A passion for outdoor activities, such as cycling, hiking, geocaching, etc.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Able to write clearly and persuasively.
Able to research and generate relevant news, stories, and case studies.
Able to quickly forge relationships with bloggers and journalists.
Great knowledge of social networking sites and online communities
Be self-motivated, able to generate ideas, plan and execute them.
Comfortable with mobile phone technology and excited by the possibilities that the latest smartphones offer
European language skills would be an advantage.
Able to work in our offices in Cambridge.
