iPhone/iPad support

Where do I get it?

ViewRanger for the iPhone is now available from the Apple app store.

Two editions are available. Both include all the features of ViewRanger for iPhone / iPad, use of Open Street and Cycle mapping, and the ability to buy additional detailed premium maps in-app. The Premium edition of ViewRanger includes a token worth of credit, see the wiki for details of what's included. The Open Maps edition of ViewRanger does not include the credit.

iOS 6

ViewRanger has been tested on the new iOS 6 and runs fine.

Upgrading to iOS 6 should not affect your maps, tracks and routes, but to be sure we recommend you make a full backup in iTunes before upgrading. To do this, right click on the device in the left hand column and choose Back up. A sync alone is not a full backup.

If you do lose your maps, you can re-download them free of charge in-app, or contact us for help.

iPhone 5, iPad Mini

ViewRanger runs fine on the new iPhone 5 and the iPad mini.

Latest Version

The latest release is version 3.4, published in February. See the release notes in the wiki for more details. To update use the App Store app on your iPhone or iPad.
