Location Sharing

ViewRanger BuddyBeacon allows you to share your real-time mapped location* with friends to see via the app on their smartphone or via our web portal. Equally, you can see their location on your mobile or through the web. * using mobile network signal

For privacy, the BuddyBeacon service is PIN code protected, this means that only those who you give your username and PIN to, can follow you.

Want to share more than just location? - you can also connect your Twitter feed to BuddyBeacon, so that you can add your experiences and even twitpics or videos to your location for friends to see via the web portal.

To use BuddyBeacon you need to be a registered user. Then you can set a 4 digit PIN code and turn it on. Remember, the PIN code should be a number that you are happy to tell those you want to see your location. You can also set the location update frequency.
