US Topo mapping

ViewRanger offers highly detailed topo maps for the contiguous USA and Hawaii. These are included with the purchase price of our USA editions and available as an in-app upgrade on "open" edition. Topo maps can be easily stored for off-line usage, essential for use where there is no cell signal.

You can switch between a choice of map views; standard topo or shaded land use.

250,000 miles of marked trails

Use either map view and you get 250,000 miles of trails marked on the map. Thats over 90% of all trails on US public land, many are named and are searchable.

In addition to free marked trails, you can access our database of community & expert guided routes. more 

Street maps & Aerial imagery

All ViewRanger editions come with free unlimited access to a wide range of global web based mapping layers from street and terrain to aerial photo imagery – we call these “web maps”. Importantly, most of our web map layers can be stored on your phone for use out of cellular coverage or to avoid roaming charges, if abroad. more

Canada Maps & International mapping

For Canada and a growing number of other countries, we also supply full topographic mapping from Geosciences agencies. In these places, ViewRanger can be upgraded to run detailed “premium maps. All premium mapping is permanently stored on your phone and can even be transferred to a new phone when you upgrade. more
