Top spots for Landscape Photography in the UK (Part 2)

BBC Countryfile magazine have shared their best locations for landscape photography in the UK, so we decided to collect some of our most popular routes in each area and present them to you!

AVON RIVER (£)

The river Avon stretches through the picturesque city of Bath, under the Clifton suspension bridge and through the beautiful South West countryside.

Best for: Victorian-style boating canals surrounded by grassy fields.

ISLE OF SKYE

Explore Quiraing, Glenbrittle, Elgol, Point of Neist and Eilean Donan castle for some picture perfect Scottish photography spots.

Best for: Lochs, castles, coasts and mountainous hills.

NEW BRIGHTON LIGHTHOUSE

The New Brighton Lighthouse stands out over the flat sands and waters of the Wirral Peninsular, keeping watch over the Merseyside coastline.         

Best for: The sand, sea and a dramatic landscape no matter the weather.

WISTMAN'S WOOD

Wistman’s Wood in Devon and its moss covered boulders, situated amongst the sprawling, stunted oaks make for beautiful woodland photos.

Best for: Ancient woodland shots.

RYE SAND DUNES (£)

The biggest sand beach on the South East of England provides the opportunity to capture the rolling Rye dunes, sand patters and the striking shadows they cause.

Best for: Dramatic beach scenes.

NEW FOREST (£)

The purples and browns of the New Forest are best seen from August to early November, while Vales Moor and Halsey hill are covered in bell heather, perfect for woodland wandering.

Best for: Pure purples, pretty ponds and woodland wanders.

TRESCO, THE ISLES OF SCILLY

The tropical feel of its white sandy beaches and aquamarine seas means that Tresco is best photographed in the summer months.

Best for: Tropical island-style photographs of the coastline.
