You must activate your ViewRanger software within the 16-day grace period beginning upon installation. If you do not activate the software, you will be prevented from using it after the 16 days.

ViewRanger offers this 16-day grace period so that you can activate when it is most convenient, yet be able to use the software immediately.

Trial download: If you are using ViewRanger as a trial it does not need to be activated. You can use all its features for 16 days with no restrictions. When you buy a map you will receive a serial number to use to activate ViewRanger permanently.

Please Note: To obtain a license key you need the serial number of your ViewRanger software, map or token. This serial number can be found on the rear of the CD/DVD instruction sheet, or on the rear of the memory card case, or if you bought an electronic download or token it will be emailed to you. Each serial number can only be used in the form below on one occasion, so if you change your handset and need a new license key, please email your new IMEI number and serial number(s) to support.

You will also require your phone's 15-digit IMEI number. To obtain the IMEI run ViewRanger and from the Options menu choose "Enter license key". The IMEI is shown as the phone id. Alternatively dial *#06# on the main phone screen.
